Hey guys! I have finally managed to put together an old tune and get it recorded. I wrote this back near the beginning of the century and has always been one of my favorites. I started using some pre-recorded drums from ‘The Loop Loft’ and the results are amazing! I am super impressed by the overall quality. I also just upgraded my laptop to 16 gb of ram to handle the crazy amount of tracks I tend to get into when working on a project. So far so good! I am working on getting some complete downloads up soon and more new tunes are on the way. Hope you guys enjoy!
I’m finally starting to get some recordings down with my new Focusrite interface. This song is a bit of a bluesy tune mostly influenced by the changes that are occurring in my life and the self-actualization progress I am making as an individual. Please take a minute to have a listen. Thanks! Download will be up soon!
I have been quite busy this year adding new songs to my set lists and even writing lots of new material. Since I grew up in 80’s and always enjoyed some of the cheesy pop/ synth stuff from that era, I thought I’d go back and cover a few of these guys. One of my favorite bands from the 80’s is unarguably, The Cure. I’m not sure what grabs my attention the most from these guys, whether it’s the loud, British accent and slightly off key vocals at times or the classic chorus/ delay guitar sounds. Either way, I can listen to them over and over. Recently, I managed to perform and capture a cover of “Just like heaven”, one of my favorites, on video and thought I’d share. Thanks for watching!
This year is going to be an exciting year. Last year I started giving private guitar lessons using the service Thumbtack and had great success throughout the entire year. I was also able to book several private parties for live entertainment. If interested in booking a live performance or setting up guitar lessons, feel free to contact me directly here on the website or take look at some of the Thumbtack reviews.
So I have did it again. I submitted a new video for NPR music’s Tiny Desk Contest. It’s been a rough few weeks as well as the beginning of a new year but things are finally getting back on track and I was to pull it off. Unfortunately with time being limited to get a song recorded and filmed all in one take, then uploaded, I had risked singing after coming out of a crazy “man-cold”. We all know how those man-colds are! But seriously, I am bit on the nasally side but overall, I am pleased with the performance. I am using some new equipment this year: I upgraded interfaces from the Lexicon Lambda to an excellent sounding Focusrite 18i8. I also upgraded to a Lenovo Thinkpad X230 laptop running Pro Tools 10. I have a bunch of cool new plugins I used on this as well. Feel free to hit me up for more details or if you’re interested in sound/ video for a similar type of project.
“Maneater” is a Hall and Oats classic and also one of my favorite 80’s pop hits. I rocked a cover of this live at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Atlanta. The sound was excellent there. My camera (Zoom Q3 HD) really shows the quality of the sound as well.
Every since I was a kid I wanted to perform at the Hard Rock Cafe. Well, I was able to finally turn that dream into reality and caught most of it on video. I was treated like king and queen there. Such a nice venue. They actually asked me back the following week but my schedule was already booked. I’ll be making another appearance in the upcoming months of 2015. Be on the lookout for the date if interested in coming out.
